Counter Practice Therapy
OCD, Anxiety, and LGBTQ+ Affirming Care throughout Texas
Welcome!
My name is Walker Bunch, I am an LPC Associate, supervised by Austin Bridges LPC-S.
I often work with people who feel trapped by their own thoughts, caught in cycles of questioning, checking, avoiding, overthinking, or trying to finally feel certain.
My primary areas of focus are OCD, anxiety, and LGBTQ+ identity. For OCD and anxiety, I use evidence-based approaches including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and CBT. I also bring an existential and person-centered perspective to my work, particularly when therapy involves identity, meaning, relationships, or figuring out what you actually want from your life.
I believe therapy is at its most powerful when it gives us a judgment-free space to get curious about what’s holding you back, understand the patterns you’ve gotten stuck in, and figure out what you want to change. I approach that process with curiosity rather than shame or judgment.
Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you’ve been struggling for years, I would be honored to support you in building a life that feels more like your own.
Areas of Expertise
OCD
OCD can trap you in exhausting cycles of intrusive thoughts, doubt, checking, reassurance, and avoidance. Using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) alongside ACT, we’ll help you step out of those cycles and reclaim the time, energy, and freedom OCD has taken from you.
Anxiety
Anxiety can make your world feel smaller, keeping you caught in cycles of worry, avoidance, and overthinking. Together, we’ll build a different relationship with fear and uncertainty so you can move toward what matters—even when anxiety comes along.
LGBTQ+ Identity
You deserve therapy where your identity is understood as part of you, not treated as a problem to solve. I offer an affirming space to explore gender, sexuality, relationships, and belonging while building a life that feels more honest and genuinely your own.
